The waters are calm, temperate and comfortable. The visibility is the best
you’ve ever experienced. It’s that perfect day; you know, the one that becomes a
part of your “best dive day” stories. You glance down at your dive computer,
then up at your buddy with a big regulator smile and you give him the Okay.
There’s no need for words—you both know this dive isn’t going to end anytime
soon. You are both diving with enriched air nitrox!
What is Enriched Air Nitrox?
Enriched air nitrox is a great tool to help you enjoy longer dives. Enriched air
makes this possible because it contains less nitrogen and a higher percentage of
oxygen than normal air. This means that you absorb less nitrogen as you dive,
giving you more bottom time!

Why PADI Rescue Diver?
Rewarding AND fun—that best describes PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will
expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond
themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this
course is serious, it is and enjoyable way to build your confidence.
What do I need to start?
- Advanced Open Water Diver certification
- Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Jr. Rescue Diver)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (YMCA offers both for $35.00)
What will I do?
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary,
manage dive emergencies. During the 5 open water sessions, you’ll cover:
3 –1 hr classroom sessions 2 pool sessions or 1 day open water
